User Manual | S20T: Digital MCB (220V / 20A)
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the S20T. This high-precision device is designed to monitor, manage, and protect your 220V AC appliances. Featuring robust hardware controls and secure Bluetooth mobile connectivity, it offers real-time electrical monitoring and comprehensive fault protection.
2. Technical Specifications
Operating Voltage: 220V AC
Maximum Rated Current: 20A
Monitored Parameters: Voltage (V), Current (A), Frequency (Hz), Apparent Power (kVA), Active Power (kW)
Connectivity: Bluetooth (BLE)
Protection Mechanisms:
Low Voltage / High Voltage Cutoff (Configurable via App)
Over-Current Shutdown (Configurable via App up to 20A)
Short-Circuit Protection
Security: Password-protected configuration and control
3. Hardware Interface & Controls
Main Power Switch (Red Rocker Switch): Turning this switch ON energizes the controller logic. Turning it OFF completely cuts power to the controller.
Function Button (Blue Push Button): Multi-function tactile switch used for local interactions (e.g., manual load toggling).
Status LEDs (Red & Green):
Red LED Solid: Load Disengaged.
Green LED Solid: Load Engaged.
Red & Green LEDs Blinking Simultaneously: Active Fault Condition (Load is automatically disengaged).
Red & Green LEDs Blinking Alternately: Device is in Password Generation Mode.
4. Mobile App Integration & Connectivity
Initial Setup & Pairing
If you already have the User Password, use this standard pairing procedure:
Power On: Flip the Red Rocker Switch to the ON position.
Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the device is paired on your mobile.
Open App Menu: Launch the companion app and open the main Menu.
Register Device: Select the 'Add New Device' option.
Authentication: Enter your unique Device ID and User Password, then Click OK to establish the secure connection.
Password Generation & Recovery (First-Time Setup / Reset)
If you need to generate a new User Password using your hardware Master Key, follow these steps:
Enter Generation Mode: Turn the Red Rocker Switch OFF. Press and hold the Blue Push Button, then turn the Red Rocker Switch ON.
Verify Mode: The Red and Green LEDs will start blinking in an alternate fashion. You may now release the button.
App Registration: Open the 'Add New Device' dialog in the app. Enter your Device ID and your Master Key, then click OK.
Password Sync: The controller will securely generate and sync the new User Password directly to the app.
Multi-Device Access: The app will display the new User Password in a popup dialog. Save this password to connect additional mobile devices later without repeating this hardware process.
5. Key Features & Operation
Real-Time Monitoring
Once connected, the app dashboard displays live telemetry of your AC electrical mains:
Voltage (V) & Frequency (Hz): Ensures the incoming grid power is stable.
Current (A): Tracks the real-time electrical draw of the connected load.
Power Metrics: Differentiates between Active Power (kW) and Apparent Power (kVA) for precise energy tracking.
Smart Controls
Timer Function: Set specific on period to automate your appliance operations.
Advanced Scheduler Alarm: Set a time-triggered action to run on a Daily or One-Time basis using one of four distinct modes:
ON–OFF: Turn the load ON in the target duration, then turn load OFF after that set duration.
None–OFF: Do nothing in the target duration, then turn load OFF after that set duration.
ON–None: Turns the load ON in the target duration.
OFF–ON: Turn the load OFF in the target duration, then turn load to ON after a set duration.
6. Protection Systems & Troubleshooting
The controller constantly monitors the electrical environment. Settings can be enabled, disabled, or adjusted directly through the app configuration menu.
7. Wiring & Installation
Ensure power is completely cut at the main circuit breaker before starting the installation.
Wiring Configuration
Input Phase (Line In): Red Wire (2.5 mm2) — Connects to incoming 220V AC live grid.
Output Phase (Load): Yellow Wire (2.5 mm2)— Connects to the appliance live terminal.
Common Neutral: Thin White Wire — Connects to the system neutral line.
8. Safety Warnings
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
High Voltage Risk: This device operates on 220V AC power. Do not open the enclosure or handle exposed wiring while the mains are live.
Strict Capacity Limits: Do not connect loads exceeding 20A. Overloading the controller poses a significant fire hazard and risk of permanent hardware damage.
Wire Gauge Allocation: Ensure the 2.5 mm2 gauge wires are securely crimped or joined to support high-amperage current transmission safely.
Indoor Use Only: Keep the controller away from moisture, water, and extreme heat sources.
